CEYLON Nuwara Eliya

   
   

Grown in the central highlands of Nuwara Eliya at up to 6500 feet in altitude, this shotty smaller Pekoe leaf grade provides a very light but brisk liquor, with a little astringency and citrus overtones. Can be drink with or without milk as an afternoon tea.

CHINA Fujian Golden Tips

   

Preparation: one tea spoon p/cup @ 80oC for 2-3 minutes

   

A fully-fermented black tea peppered with golden tips, is from China’s Fujian province. It is carefully processed so that the shape is made up to be tightly twisted tea leaves, rather than a broken leaf which is the usual for most other black teas from China. When infused, they unfurl into full tea leaves consisting of a single bud with two to three leaves. The taste is naturally sweet and strong with a matching aroma. After a few sips, the sweet aftertaste will linger on in your mouth. A morning or evening tea drink without or with a little milk.

CHINA Lapsang Souchong

   

Preparation: one tea spoon p/cup @ 98oC for 3-4 minutes

   

Lapsang Souchong is a traditional Chinese tea made by withering the leaves over pine wood fires, before they are pan fired over the same burning wood which gives this tea its characteristic lovely mild smokey character, beautiful broad black leaves and light amber liquor. Can be taken with a little milk and or sugar and excellent at breakfast time.

    A full bodied thick strong blend of teas with a fine cute and tippy black leaf, showing the fine quality of the plucking. This is an ideal tea to wake you up at the very start of a busy day. Best taken with some milk and a little sugar.

A blend of tea traditionally drunk by traders to sustain them on their long journeys along the Silk road route as they moved their Caravans through Russia to the Far East to buy and trade in Silks, precious metals and...of course tea. This tea has a slight smokiness with it and a dark amber liquor which is ideal for drinking any time in the day.

We have created our own unique premium version of this world wide favorite, first brought to Europe from China as a gift from a Chinese mandarin to the British Prime minister of the day, Earl Grey in the 1830’s, as a thank you for a British diplomat saving
his life during a mission. This stylish long black leaf tea has been perfumed with the oil from the citrus bergamot fruit to create a traditional but exhilarating version of this blend. Best taken without milk.

An exotically fruity perfumed blend of black and green teas, pineapple bits, grapes, papaya bits, mallow blossoms, rose petals and marigold petals. It infuses to give a dark yellow and characteristically aromatic brew with a sweet exotic fruity after taste that does not need to be tempered with milk. Ideal tea from breakfast to around noon.

A mixture of fine Indian and traditional Chinese black teas blended with real pieces of cinnamon, ginger, pepper and orange peels combined with the flavors of almonds. Offers a sweet and yet tantalizingly spicy taste with a well-balanced relation between spices and freshness. Usually “CHAI” teas are drunk with a lot of milk, but in this case a dot would do. Just plain will give you a reddish yellow cup. It is a particularly good tea to take late in
the day.

    This supreme Organic black tea from Ambootia Estate has been producing superb Darjeeling teas since 1861. Ambootia has rich green hillsides reaching up towards the Himalayas, the highest mountain range in the world. Nothing can be healthier than a cup of this superlative tea with its exquisite flowery bouquet. It brews up a sparkling amber color, which is smooth and mellow with a distinctive Muscat flavor, the signature of the world’s finest Darjeelings. Well worth discovering. Best Drunk without milk or sugar.

TEAYANA Golden Silk Thread

    This distinctive high quality tea from Sichuan in China is bursting with golden tips, a sure sign of its fine quality. The tips are a result of the finest handpicked tender buds taken with very selective plucking during the first flush months of March and April. Sichuan being one of the most famous tea producing regions in China makes this tea a real rarity. The leaves are purely golden in color and the infusion has an amber color. Exceptionally smooth and delicate with a hint of malt. Drinks well with sweetened milk for added flavor and can be drunk from breakfast onwards.

TEAYANA Spring Season

This tea comes from Maharani Hill in the heart of the Darjeeling growing region, a small highly select section of Margaret’s Hope plantation, which is known for producing fine Darjeeling tea for close to 100 years. The tea delivers a taste of its exquisite history in a full flavored cup of fine tea. The limited edition first flush is harvested at the beginning of the season from March to April when temperatures start to rise and with the sun’s increasing intensity and fresh leaves begin to sprout. When steeped, the color in the cup is bright yellow-orange. This tea is characterized by its fresh, flowery, intense grapey flavor.

Darjeeling white tea is very rare and exceptional in the white tea world. It is produced in the early spring by steaming and drying the first buds and tips. The tea buds are picked with loving care since the quality and value of this tea depends on it. This results in the leaves appearing to be in their
unprocessed, natural state until you infuse them. It’s mild and slightly sweet like other white tea, but with the muscatel flavor and astringency of a fine first flush Darjeeling.
